Since 1988, Oregon Supported Living Program has supported adults with developmental disabilities in Eugene and Springfield. Our mission is to enhance the lives of adults with developmental disabilities through residential, vocational, and supported living programs, with emphasis on the arts and community integration. We provide around-clock-care in our safe group homes, support more independent clients who live on their own, and help our clients find meaningful employment. Greenhill Humane Society has been caring for homeless animals since 1944. Greenhill operates two animal shelters. One on 1st & Bertlesen, and one on Green Hill Rd. The organization cares for approximately 3,000 dogs, cats and small animals each year.

The Nobel Peace Laureate Project is a grass roots organization in Eugene, Oregon, with the goals of inspiring future peacemakers by honoring the American winners of the Nobel Peace Prize and increasing the knowledge Americans have of their own internationally recognized peacemakers. To honor the Americans who have won the Nobel Peace Prize and to augment and enhance the educational experience, the first-ever "Nobel Laureate plaza" in the United States, has been constructed with plaques and information about each Laureate. Curricula on these peacemakers and why they were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize has been written for use in the elementary, middle, and high schools. are posted on this website.

Varga Medical Art INC is a 501c3 nonprofit organization based in Eugene Oregon founded by Michelle and Eain Varga. Our mission is to provide transformative medical tattooing services to individuals living with scars from breast cancer surgery trauma illness congenital conditions or gender-affirming procedures. We believe that healing goes beyond the physical. It includes emotional spiritual and psychological restoration. Through the art of medical tattooing we help survivors reclaim their confidence identity and sense of wholeness. We specialize in areola and nipple restoration for breast cancer survivors offering this vital service to help individuals feel complete again after mastectomy or reconstructive surgery. These services are not considered cosmetic by those who need them. They are a critical part of healing. We also provide scar camouflage for self-harm survivors burn survivors individuals living with conditions like vitiligo and those seeking gender-affirming tattoo work. At Varga Medical Art INC we believe no survivor should be denied access to these life-changing services due to financial barriers. That is why we offer care on a sliding scale and often at no cost to those in need. Our clients include people from all walks of life many of whom have been through unimaginable experiences and are looking for hope confidence and a new beginning. We are also establishing the Varga Institute for Paramedical Art and Restoration a training program for licensed tattoo artists who want to expand their skills into the field of trauma-informed medical tattooing. This initiative will help spread access to this form of care across Oregon and beyond especially in underserved and rural communities. Our work is grounded in compassion professionalism and inclusivity. We welcome all bodies identities and backgrounds and we uphold a strict commitment to cultural competence and non-discrimination. Our team partners with healthcare providers mental health professionals and survivor support networks to provide holistic care and long-term healing. Michelle and Eain Varga bring a unique combination of lived experience medical insight and artistic excellence to their work. Michelle is a cancer survivor a former nurse and a nationally recognized tattoo artist who has dedicated her life to restoring dignity and confidence through art. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon & SW Washington provides a "home away from home" for families with seriously ill children, and supports initiatives to improve pediatric health. At the Heartfelt House by Riverbend, we support the guest services for 10 pediatric rooms and 10 adult rooms, and programming for RMHC pediatric families.

Love for Lane County is committed to providing a holistic response to unmet needs through active faith. Our primary focus is to offer short-term practical, hands-on assistance for those who are in desperate need in our community and have nowhere else to turn. We provide “gap services” to meet the needs of our community, providing services and support that other agencies may be unable to offer.
I live in Eugene and represented Central Lane and Linn Counties in the Oregon House of Representatives (2001-2019). The District includes the University of Oregon and the main Campus of Lane Community College, Creswell, Coburg, Walterville, Brownsville, Harrisburg, Halsey, Sodaville, and parts or all of several smaller communities in the area.
After leaving the legislature, I started the Emerald Valley Electric Vehicle Association, a chapter of the Electric Vehicle Association which has about 100 chapters world wide. As an entirely voluntary association we promote the switch to electric transportation by encouraging supportive legislation and informing families and individuals of the advantage of electric vehicles.
