Bring your own art project from home or start something new while connecting with fellow young professionals over a drink. Whether you’re sketching, crafting, or just getting inspired, this is a relaxed, open studio-style space to unwind and create.
The featured activity will be a collaborative group mural, with a large roll of paper, a creative prompt, and idea starters to get you going. In the spirit of an open studio, you’re encouraged to bring your own project to work on, just please avoid glitter, paint, or other messy materials.
This is a free event, and donations to Creation Exchange are welcome.
The Eugene Creation Exchange is an art collective dedicated to merging art with social connection. They prioritize sustainability by using up-cycled materials and ensure their events remain accessible to everyone through free or sliding-scale fees.
For this collaborative Open Studio, you are encouraged to bring any personal art project you have in progress or have been meaning to work on. Whether it is that half-knitted sweater, a thank-you letter you have been meaning to write, or a new medium you just need a nudge to try, this is a dedicated space for that. While they ask that you leave messy paint or strong-smelling glues at home, they will provide plenty of supplies for doodling while you network. They also have a curated selection of embroidery and linocut materials ready for anyone looking to experiment with something new!
Eugene Creation Exchange and Eugene Young Professionals are coming together to bring you a community drawing project. A large, blank surface will be provided along with coloring materials and art/writing prompts to get your creative gears turning!
