Improvement projects can range from quick, cyclical improvements, to planned rapid improvements, to long-term strategic initiatives. In this course we discuss 1) the different types of improvement projects and the LEAN tools and techniques that apply and 2) the principles of Lean and the tools in your Lean toolbox to help you identify your business processes with the potential for improvement. You’ll also learn how to collaborate with your stakeholders in order to get the improvement work done.
In this class we will cover:
- Different project types and techniques to support success
- Documentation practices that help you achieve buy-in and manage expectations
- Lean tools that you might integrate into your projects
- Tools that help to support collaboration, team accountability, and communication
Prerequisite: None
Learning Objectives:
- Understand and describe the different types of projects that result from Lean analysis activities
- Knowledge and understanding of how the Lean tools support success
- Identify basic project management tools that you can utilize in Lean improvement initiatives that support collaboration and successful project outcomes
Fees: Free to EVLA member organizations; $125 per person for non-member organizations.
