Value Stream Mapping for Continuous Improvement
LEAN Practitioner
Identifying value is an important and fundamental step for implementing LEAN in any organization. Mapping the value stream allows an organization to identify all of the activities that make up a process to deliver a product or service from supplier to customer, and sets the baseline for continuous improvement. As tool for improvement, the value stream map allows an organization to identify value, show process waste, communicate process flow throughout the organization, and identify opportunities for improvement.
