Gareth Reynolds is an internationally touring stand up who’s brilliantly clever quips perfectly offset Dave Anthony’s hilarious snark on their smash hit podcast The Dollop which garners over 5 million downloads a month.

Originally from the mean streets of Milwaukee, Wi Gareth has worked on all sides of both TV and film. Gareth has written or appeared on New Girl, Arrested Development, I’m Sorry, Hoops, Flaked, You’re The Worst, A Very Harold and Kumar Xmas, and Maron. He has also appeared on MTV, Comedy central, The Travel Channel, and Netflix.

We will host a short ceremony honoring our outstanding volunteers who have gone above and beyond to help us with our mission and recognize Square One Villages and Fit Team as notable community partners. We will conclude the evening with a memorial walk around the park blocks to remember those we have lost to HIV/AIDS.

Lee, formerly of the LA-based band Visiting Violette, and Cordero, a multi-instrumentalist, blend indie pop, rock, and jazz to create eclectic sounds described as what happens when “Feist meets the Pretenders, shares a cab with Tori Amos, and has tea with Nina Simone.”

Eugene, OR — Through sculpture, image, and word, Wonder-Tender invites us into a shared space of curiosity and reverence—where art becomes a threshold, symbol meets story, and imagination becomes the bridge through which we remember ourselves back home.

Wonder-Tender is a group exhibition featuring the works of photographer Sandy Brown, sculptor Jud Turner, mixed-media artist Renee Mahni, spoken-word poet Jorah LaFleur, and painter Shanna Trumbly.

This special opening event on December 6th, features artist talks and spoken word poetry from 2-3pm, offering a deeper look into each creator’s process and the themes that weave the exhibition together. On Sunday, December 7th the Community Center for the Performing Arts welcomes Mammoth NW Presents Hobo Johnson & The Lovemakers at the WOW Hall.

A Sacramento-born vocalist, rapper, and spoken-word artist, Hobo Johnson rose to fame in 2018 when his arresting performance of “Peach Scone” in NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest went viral. His Cincinnati-recorded debut album, The Rise of Hobo Johnson (2017), led to a deal with Reprise Records. He followed with The Fall of Hobo Johnson (2019) on Warner, which featured the hit singles “Typical Story” and “Uglykid” and earned placements at festivals like Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza.

Blending raw emotion with witty storytelling, Hobo Johnson’s live shows are part concert, part confessional, engaging fans with a genuine, unconventional energy.

On Tuesday, December 9th the Community Center for the Performing Arts proudly welcomes Mason Jennings to the WOW Hall.

Minneapolis songwriter Mason Jennings shares his new video for the single, “Only Lovers Welcome” from his brand new album, Underneath The Roses out now via Loosegroove Records. Underneath The Roses is available on limited-edition colored vinyl and is available here. Watch and share the video for “Only Lovers Welcome” here.

Jennings writes that the songs from Underneath The Roses were, “Written in an unprecedented burst,” following the birth of his son, Western, in March 2022. Jennings explains, “I hadn’t written any songs in about a year. I had been dealing with the psychological after effects of the pandemic as well as the loss of my dad. So, when Western was born I didn’t expect to be writing much. But immediately he was responding to music in a very intense way. For this album, between May and November 2022, I wrote 48 songs! They certainly uplifted me and connected me with the creative spirit, and spirit in general, again. They cover all kinds of ground but, when I listen back, I think the central theme is overcoming fear with love.”

Jennings also released a video for, “No Ordinary Friend,” which he explains, “Depicts two of the most important decisions a person can make. One, whether or not they believe in a loving higher power and two, who they decide to choose as a life long romantic partner. This song is referring to both of those and the choices I’ve made.”

“Stone Gossard and Regan Hagar from Loosegroove Records helped me edit the 48 down to 11. I then enlisted the help of my Painted Shield bandmates to record the songs.”

Jennings and Gossard are ongoing collaborators in the band Painted Shield, who released their 2021 debut album on Loosegroove, the influential indie label that Gossard founded back in 1994 issued records from acts such as Critters Buggin, Malfunkshun, Weapon of Choice and Devilhead, and was the launching point for Queens of the Stone Age’s debut album in 1998.

Jenning’s previous album ‘Real Heart’ came out in January 2022 and received Triple/Non-comm radio across KCMP Minneapolis, WFPK Louisville, WPYA Birmingham, KRCL Salt Lake City, WMMM Madison, WQKL Ann Arbor, KCSN LA, KRVB Boise, WCLZ Portland, WDSE Duluth, WRLT Nashville, WXPN Philly, WXRV Boston, & WZEW Mobile.

Eugene Greeters has been connected to Jasper Mountain for over 25 years. It all started with a presentation at a Friday meeting with a story of a child that touched so many hearts that we wanted to get involved and support them.

Join the Eugene Chamber Greeters as we bless the children at Jasper Mountain with our Annual Christmas party. A small group of adults will deliver gifts and stockings, sing songs, and share goodies with the children, and maybe a visit from Santa Claus!

How can you participate?

- Select an amount to contribute below so we can purchase gifts, or

- Reach out to Cassie to help purchase stocking stuffers or baked goods for the party at Jasper Mountain.

What is Greeters?

This lively group offers a fun way to promote individual businesses, learn from a spotlight speaker, and become acquainted with new business connections. Greeters welcome individuals and their businesses into the community, support business success, and provide (through Chamber membership) networking opportunities including participation in promotional, civic, and social events that increase the visibility of Chamber member businesses locally and regionally. All Chamber members and employees of Chamber members are welcome to attend, we also welcome guests.

Join us for the inspiring film Called to Rescue then stay for our Eugene VeganFest volunteer planning meeting (optional of course!). Called to Rescue is a glimpse into fifteen farmed animal sanctuaries throughout the US. The rescued animals, simply by being who they are, are changing hearts, lives, habits and beliefs.

On Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, the Community Center for the Performing Arts presents Sunsquabi at the WOW Hall.

Music has the power to move us—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. For SunSquabi—Kevin Donohue [guitar, keys, production], Josh Fairman [bass, synth], and Scotty Zwang [drums]—that power lives in the unspoken language they share on stage and in the studio. With millions of streams and high-energy performances at venues like Red Rocks Amphitheatre, they’ve carved out a space where electronic production, jam-band freedom, and funk-rooted grooves collide.

Now, the Colorado-based trio turns the page with their most defining release yet: a self-titled album that reintroduces SunSquabi in their purest form. More than a record, SunSquabi is a creative reset—a declaration of who they are now, and where they’re headed next.

“This is the most honest version of us,” says Donohue. “It felt right to make it self-titled, because we’ve grown into something new—and we wanted to mark that.”

The album follows a strong run of EPs (Cloudburst and Grind) that saw the band evolving through collaboration, improvisation, and reinvention. Tracks often began as live jams—many from their livestream sessions during the pandemic—and grew into fully fleshed-out songs that reflect both discipline and spontaneity.

“We didn’t overthink it. We trusted our instincts,” adds Fairman. “Everything came from a real place, and we stayed true to that. This record feels like a culmination.”

Since 2015, SunSquabi has toured relentlessly and released boundary-pushing records like Odyssey (2016), Deluxe EP (2017), and Instinct (2019). They’ve collaborated with artists like Lettuce, GRiZ, Late Night Radio, and The String Cheese Incident, building a loyal following along the way. Media outlets including JamBase, Live For Live Music, and ThisSongIsSick have praised their genre-defying sound and explosive live shows.

While their past work laid the foundation, SunSquabi feels like the project that defines them. It’s not just a name on a record—it’s a statement of identity, intention, and evolution. And as always, their goal is simple: move people, lift spirits, and keep the groove alive.

Join us on Thursday, December 18, from 7:00–9:30 AM, for the Eugene Chamber's December Policy Forum Breakfast at the Eugene Country Club.

This timely session will explore the roadmap ahead for business advocacy, public-policy development, and electoral dynamics in Oregon. Preston Mann with Oregon Business & Industry (OBI) will highlight their 2026 Legislative Agenda, which builds on OBI's recently published Oregon Competitiveness Agenda to address the state’s slipping business-climate rankings, regulatory burdens, tax competitiveness, and workforce-development challenges.

We wil then cover the policy outlook of the upcoming May 2026 primary election, major statewide ballot initiatives on the horizon, and the strategic implications for Oregon’s business community. In particular, we’ll dig into OBI’s petition-drive to repeal House Bill 3115 — the 2021 law that currently limits local jurisdictions’ authority over unsanctioned camping — and what potential repeal could mean for local government, public spaces, and business vitality.

Attendees will leave with actionable insights, including:

A breakdown of the top priorities in the 2026 agenda
How these priorities translate into specific legislative and regulatory proposals
The election and ballot environment in 2026 — what business leaders need to monitor
The camping law repeal effort, and how that intersects with public-policy, community safety and local government engagement

Geoffrey Louis Koch (pronounced “Jeffrey Louis Coke”) is an indie folk singer-songwriter based in Eugene, Oregon, known for weaving cinematic textures, intimate storytelling, and emotionally resonant songwriting into a sound that’s both timeless and current. With deep roots in Nashville and St. Louis, Geoffrey has spent over two decades carving out his own space in the indie music landscape - one driven by authenticity, atmosphere, and quiet intensity.
His release, Follow The Voices, blends acoustic indie folk with symphonic orchestration - an ambitious and lushly produced project funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign and supported by a Midwestern tour that included a Daytrotter session. The album echoes the cinematic depth of Gregory Alan Isakov’s This Empty Northern Hemisphere and the raw, vulnerable edge of Bon Iver’s For Emma, Forever Ago. One of its standout tracks, “The Storm,” earned international recognition as a Lyric Finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, selected from over 18,000 global entries.
Geoffrey’s music often reflects a duality: both grounded and expansive, weathered and hopeful. He’s equally comfortable performing stripped-down solo sets in intimate listening rooms or fronting a full band in larger venues. Dakota Harris, a 21-year-old vocalist, guitarist, and bassist. Dakota is also a music major at Lane Community College, draws inspiration from classic artists like Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Nat King Cole. His smooth, vintage-infused style adds a timeless dimension to the trio.
