Event Description: Six international ensembles—inspired by the great traditions and critically acclaimed for taking a fresh approach—headline the 2013-14 season of ChamberMusic@Beall. A joint production of the UO School of Music and Dance and the Oregon Bach Festival, the series presents its concerts Sundays at 3 pm in Beall Concert Hall. Season tickets are now on sale. The Brentano String Quartet opens the series October 13. Featured in the film “A Late Quartet” starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Catherine Keener, Christopher Walken and Mark Ivanir, the quartet applies its “luxuriously warm sound” (The New York Times) to Haydn, Beethoven, and a new work by Steven Mackey that commemorates JFK in the 50th year since his death.
