Event Description:
Gather your gaggle and head down to 5th and Main this Friday for fun, farmers, food and a healthy dose of arts and crafts! Every third Friday during the 2010 season is a dedication to the kid in all of us. This Friday join us for an art session on vegetable printing hosted by the Emerald Art Center at 3PM and Farmers’ Market Bingo from 3:30-4:15. Bingo winners can choose from an assortment of prizes including market plants and produce or a mystery prize out of the farmers’ market tote bag. In 2010, Springfield Farmers’ Market will continue to offer fresh, local produce, and will also provide a schedule of exciting, family friendly community events every week. Every evening market shoppers can enjoy live music and entertainment throughout downtown Springfield. Stop by this Friday for the sweet sounds of washboard and fiddle as the Whiskey Chasers perform bluegrass from 5:30-7PM. Springfield Farmers’ Market accepts credit, debit and SNAP benefits (food stamps), and is easily accessible with parking close at hand and wide aisles to stroll through. Weekly offerings include baked goods, tacos, hazelnuts, fruits and vegetables and a wide variety of plant starts. Springfield Farmers’ Market - Fresh and Lively Every Friday in Downtown Springfield!
