The mission of the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce is to serve as a catalytic leader in creating a vibrant and diverse economy that drives economic opportunity and well-being. In partnership with this mission statement, the Eugene Chamber wants to provide women in leadership with an opportunity to guide, mentor, support, and encourage one another. The Women Business Leaders Program (WBL) strives to empower, educate, and excite the existing and aspiring women leaders in our community, as well as to encourage fellowship to insight positive growth and learning opportunities for women everywhere.

As women who are balancing many competing priorities, we often feel off-kilter and disconnected. “Work Life Balance” seems like an elusive goal, and we’re not even certain it best captures what we are striving for. What would it look like if our goal was connection and integration in all areas of our lives? Let’s get honest and authentic with one another, and leave with some fresh approaches and perspectives.
Corynn Gilbert, M.Ed., has spent her whole career in the quirky world of colleges and universities. She has a passion for building up young women and to nurture leadership gifts in her peers. Currently she is serving as the Director of Alumni & Donor Relations at Northwest Christian University, which is simply a great excuse to get paid to know and care about people. She is the mother of 4 teenage daughters and has been married for 22 years. She has lived abroad, been a military wife, and her career has been patched together like a quilt as she has supported her spouse’s professional journey. In her spare time, she thought getting a doctoral degree was a good idea, but the jury is still out on that one.

Registration/Cancellation policy: Chamber event reservations must be canceled more than 24 hours prior to the event to be eligible for a refund. Chamber event reservations not kept, or canceled less than 24 hours prior to the event, will not be eligible for a refund, or will be billed if they have not yet been paid.
