Free event showcasing more than 50 vendors providing information on senior-related issues. The event will offer educational seminars, giveaways, refreshments and musical entertainment. The fair is targeting adult children of aging parents to better prepare them for the issues that may arise as their parents age. Three free seminars will provide educational information: 9:30a - Veteran Affairs in Lane County by Joseph Reiley, Lane County Veteran Services 10:30a - Ten Warning Signs of Alzheimer's by Abby Gershenzon, Alzheimer's Association 11:30a - Understanding Medicaid by Joel Smith, Cascadia Estate Planning Musical entertainment is The New Folksters at 9:30a, and Joseph Bonnevie at 10:45a. Fair sponsors are Avanti ElderCare Resources, Lane Senior Guide, Nuclear Care Partners, Ron Bush/Equinox Real Estate, Visiting Angels; in kind sponsors are Willamette Oaks and Avalon Health Care . Refreshments will be provided by Willamette Oaks. The event is put on by SPIN (Senior Provider Information Network of Lane County), www.spinlane.org. The mission of SPIN is to provide education, information, and networking opportunities to professionals of Lane County so that they can better serve seniors and persons with disabilities.
