The Emeralds need your help.
Having moved two levels up the Minor League ladder, the Emeralds now play 132 games in a ‘full’ season format vs. the 76 games previously in the "short" season. They also signed a ten-year affiliate agreement with the San Francisco Giants! That's great, right?? With all these exciting changes, the Emeralds must now adhere to new mandated guidelines from Major League Baseball - in short, the only option to keep the Emeralds in Eugene-Springfield is to build a new stadium, or Major League Baseball will move the franchise to a new market and the Emeralds will be gone. Yes, you read that right. Our situation is urgent: if we don’t meet MLB’s facility requirements, they will simply move the team to a new market, and our Eugene Emeralds will no longer exist.
