Doing Good in the Neighborhood!
Volunteer one or both days with Project Hope; an annual two-day event serving local schools to provide lower income students with access to new shoes, backpacks, school supplies and haircuts, at the start of the school year, as well as help get school facilities ready for a new year. Through the combined efforts of 70+ churches, organizations, and businesses,
Project Hope provides 3,400+ pairs of shoes, 3,400 pairs of socks, and 3,400 backpacks filled with school supplies. This giveaway happens at the Kids' Fair (4 school locations simultaneously in Lane County), in a fun-filled environment with inflatables, carnival games, face-painting, along with haircuts and meals.
In 2018, Project Hope served over 3,300 kids and received help from over 1,300 volunteers!
Just 3 hours of your time could impact a child's entire school year.
