Daisy C.H.A.I.N. (DC) is considered a leader in the community for doula, lactation, pregnancy, birthing, and parenting resources and has been serving clients since Fall 2012. DC's mission is to provide the community with research and evidence-based support services and education for individuals and families in their reproductive years. We envision a network where every individual is supported and empowered through their personal reproductive and parenting journeys. DC values continuous improvement and community feedback to create responsive programs that meet the population's needs. DC programs are FREE to ALL families and are delivered by highly skilled, professionally-trained staff/volunteers in families’ homes and in community locations, reflecting DC's core value for increasing equitable access to high quality care that normalizes accessing support, prevents and reduces isolation, and creates a safety net for individuals who are otherwise at-risk of falling through service gaps. Programs are designed to consider social determinants of health in the overall model of delivery as well as in the individualized care provided to each client. Doulas, International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs), peers, and educators meet clients where they are, literally and figuratively, embodying DC's value for nonjudgmental, trauma-informed program delivery.
