Celebrate our FUTURE leaders In addition to celebrating the 2016 First Citizen, one of the highlights of the Chamber's annual Celebration of Business is the presentation of the Future First Citizen Award to a local high school senior. We are pleased to present the finalists: Jozie Donaghey, Willamette High School. National Honor Society, Girl Scouts (13 years), Tri-M Music Honor Society Anna Haugen, Sheldon High School. National Honor Society, Student Government, Scholar Athlete Tia Treder, North Eugene High School. Students United for Social Justice, Superintendent Student Advisory Group, North Eugene Gender & Sexuality Alliance. Josephine Christon, Churchill High School. National Honor Society, Lane Haitian Relief, Josephine's Closet Formalwear Sophia Newman, South Eugene High School. Habitat for Humanity Club, Look Me in the Eye Club, American Red Cross Maya Dotson, Marist Catholic High School, National Honor Society, 15th Night Initiative, Marist Speech & Debate Team We have a few tables left for this banquet-style event on January 24th. Please join us to celebrate these future leaders, highlight the achievements of 2016 and outline the Chamber's plans for the year ahead. We will also introduce the new officers serving on the board of directors and honor City Manager Jon Ruiz with the 2016 First Citizen Award. (Reservations are required)
