    🚨 Big day for us here at AccessOne 🚨 We believe there should be NO BARRIERS for patients to receive care and pay for it in the way that works best for themselves and their families. Language should not be a barrier -- especially for the 42 million in the U.S. that speak Spanish as their primary language. MobilePay in Spanish takes everything patients love about MobilePay and makes it so those who primarily speak Spanish can understand their billing statement and make a payment for their medical care. Best of all, our very own product manager Jonathan Almonte, who's family speaks Spanish, helped with the translations so they would pass the "mom test." All the translations are so that his mom would easily understand in everyday language. This furthers our mission to be the most inclusive payment platform in healthcare. And better still, early beta customers have experienced upwards of 20% more payments after turning it on. There could be an entire swatch of patients who want to pay their balances but maybe don't because English is not their primary language.     As a resident of Charlotte, my heart is heavy as we mourn the loss of multiple law enforcement officers who were killed in the line of duty. I want to express my deepest condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of the fallen officers, as well as to the other officers who were injured or traumatized by this horrific event. You are in my prayers, and your health care family is here to support you in any way we can. I also want to commend our Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center teammates for the expertise and compassion they demonstrated throughout the incident. As the region's Level 1 Trauma Center, we too often treat people with tragic injuries, but today's events are a test of even the most well-seasoned team. I am grateful for our care teams, emergency managers, leaders and support staff who leveraged years of experience to triage and treat the wounded, coordinate with law enforcement and other agencies, and provide emotional support to the patients and their loved ones. As we recover from this tragic incident, I urge our health care teammates and our law enforcement colleagues to take care of yourselves and each other. Asking for help if you are struggling is a sign of strength. Please know there are resources and people who care and are ready to help. I have already been in touch with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Chief Johnny Jennings and City of Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles and will continue to support them as our Charlotte community comes together to reflect and learn from yesterday's events.

    ♻️ In early 2023, AccessOne launched a Go Green initiative to reduce paper waste in our external communications. As of the end of Q1 2024, 72% of patients have opted to receive paperless statements. Since this initiative started, we have sent over 1.2 million statements and over 100,000 welcome letters digitally versus printing essentially saving 173 trees! (🌳🌲🌴Based on a Dartmouth University study indicating that the average tree produces 8,333 sheets of paper) Our Direct MobilePay (DMP) text-to-pay statement billing product has helped providers reduce paper statements by an average of 28%. Over the past year, we’ve sent 5.5 million patient statements through the DMP experience, resulting in an estimated savings of 1,540,000 sheets of paper—equivalent to 185 trees. There are lots of KPIs we use to measure our success with patients and customers here at AccessOne, but saying we've saved more than 350 trees in the past year passes the vibe check for us. 😎 #earthday #2024 #gogreen #savetrees #corporateresponsibility #natureisrad
