Event Description:
Our first annual conference, “Decolonizing Natural Medicine: Increasing Access to Holistic Health for All”, was rescheduled and will now take place on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at the Campbell Community Center, Eugene. The objectives of this conference are to learn mind-body-heart-spirit tools that professionals can integrate into our practices to further the healing of those we serve. This one-day conference is designed for healers and health professionals, including MD, DO, ND, DC, RN, LAc, PA, NP, Herbalists, Midwives, Energy Healers, Counselors, Community Health Workers, LMT and body workers, community members, activists and students entering the healing professions. We have added a second day of post-conference workshops on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at the Trauma Healing Project, Eugene, OR. Entitled “Preparedness Equals Resilience”, the objectives of these workshops are to provide tools the community at-large can utilize to increase resilience and safety in a variety of situations. Sessions include, Woods Wise: Safety for Wildcrafters; Garden Medicine: Top Herbs for Community Resilience and Emergency Preparedness; Making Your Integrative Medicine “Go” Bag. CEU – 12 hours/units of Continuing Education is offered for Health Professions (MD, ND, RN, LPN, LMT, PT, RT, CD, CPM, LM, LDEM, etc.) for 8 hours Saturday and 5 hours for Sunday by Lane Community College at no extra fee. Certificate given at the end of conference. Healthy, plant-based lunches are provided for both days. Limited student discounts, scholarships and work-trade opportunities are available. http://zaniyan.org/conference-2017/
