Fundraiser for Cascade Health Solutions and Pete Moore Hospice House Eugene, Oregon, November 20, 2013 —Tuesday, November 26th through Sunday, December 1st, 2013 Valley River Inn will once again host the Annual Festival of Trees Event. Cascade Health Foundation’s and Pete Moore Hospice House Festival of Trees in Eugene is Lane County's premier holiday event. Scheduled over six days during Thanksgiving week, Festival transforms Eugene's Valley River Inn into a winter wonderland that attracts approximately 18,000 people every year. For many, the Festival has become a holiday tradition. Join us for this wonderful fun-filled event to celebrate not only a wonderful cause but to kick off the Holiday Season. Come see the Dickens Village Gift shop upstairs in out McKenzie Ballroom. Tour the Candy Cane Forest in the Willamette Ballroom where you will see all the amazing festival decorated trees to be auctioned off. Santa will be in the lobby decorating ornaments to trim a tree that will be donated to hospice patients. Other special features will be the dancing tree, and the sky walk that is decorated in holiday wreaths and stockings. Tuesday night November 26th is the Preview Party from 7p.m.-9:30 p.m. this is a great event to get a first look at the trees from this year. It is an advanced registration event with the cost of $25 a person. The rest of the week will be open to the public with tickets available at Umpqua Bank $6 for adults, $4 for seniors (60 and over) and children $4 (under 12) strollers pay $3. The Schedule for the following days are Wednesday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., Thursday 10a.m. - 7p.m. Friday 9 a.m.- 2p.m. and Saturday 9a.m. – 5 p.m. The Starlight Celebration Gala will run 5:30-11p.m. The cost for this event is $150 a table and is a special event registration. “This event is something that our associates look forward to hosting every year, it turns our whole hotel into a winter wonderland” said George Rogers General Manager “What makes this event so great is that there is something for every member of the family at this event, no matter their age”. SweetWaters on the River will be open during normal business hours so we encourage you to make a day out of it! You can start with breakfast or lunch taking in the amazing panoramic views of the river, then head on over to festival with a Starbucks peppermint mocha from our River Walk Bakery.
