Amanda has been with Hershner Hunter since 2007 and leads the Labor and Employment Department. She trains and coaches employers and managers on a variety of human resource topics, and participates in the negotiation, interpretation and enforcement of labor union contracts. She also advises clients on the impact of health care reform under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and assists them in related planning and compliance matters. Amanda’s years of practical experience working in Human Resources, coupled with her years as a trial attorney, provide her with a unique understanding of the issues facing today’s employers, both big and small.
Andy has practiced at Hershner Hunter for over 23 years, and provides general business and employment law advice to a wide range of employers -- from small start-ups to large, multi-national corporations. He also represents employers before state and federal administrative agencies and in both state and federal court. Andy is listed in Best Lawyers in America and is a frequent speaker on employment law and business topics throughout the Northwest. He also writes a monthly column on business and employment law issues for blue chip, and is a contributing author and editor of Advising Small Businesses, a three volume treatise on business and employment law.
