Event Description:
Sexual Assault Support Services of Lane County is holding an open house for its neighbors, donors, supporters, governmental officials, friends and the community at large! Our event will include music performed by local artist Jeremy Pruitt, a sampling of food, informational displays and activities for kids. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions about the wide variety of services SASS provides to survivors of sexual violence and to the entire community through prevention education and outreach. At 1:00PM, a portion of the open house will devoted to presenting about the popular self-defense education and youth prevention education programs and advocacy and crisis services, including a brief history of SASS and various successes in the movement to empower survivors of violence and end sexual violence. Whether someone is a social service provider, teacher, law enforcement officer, legal professional, counselor, health practitioner, student, parent, or just generally interested in what SASS does, the entire community is invited to come check out the building and converse with staff and volunteers!
