Event Description:
Shred it and forget it! Take advantage of this weekend's free document shredding event to raise awareness about identity theft protection, BBB's Secure Your ID Day. Drive up and drop off up to three (3) grocery bags or boxes of unwanted documents (no cardboard or three-ring binders). Items will be securely shredded on-the-spot by Shred-it. Unwanted documents that contain financial data, account numbers, PINs, birth dates or Social Security numbers—including: expired ID cards, health forms, old W-2s, credit card and bank statements, cancelled checks and carbon copies—put consumers at high identity theft risk and should be shredded. In the spirit of post-tax season and spring cleaning time, get rid of junk mail and other unwanted paperwork. Click here for a records retention schedule. 100% of the shredded materials will be recycled.
